Led the end-to-end operations turnaround of a joinery operation prior to divestiture.

Took an interim leadership role in generating and communicating strategy and vision and then execution over a 5-month timeframe.

The entire business process was re-designed and optimised – from quoting and order input, through procurement, planning, manufacturing and logistics to customer service.

Project also involved restructuring and strengthening of the management and supervisory team, initiating a coaching culture and energising the workforce as a whole.

Results included an increase in throughput of 300% in the first 6 weeks, followed by a halving of average lead times from 4 weeks to 2 weeks, an improvement in OTIF from 30% to >95% and a dramatic improvement in employee engagement across the entire operation.
